osho7 Journey around the world 1985 - 1986

In November 1985, Osho's release from prison is achieved and he starts a trip around the world. No country on earth wants or is able to give him a residence permit for a longer time because of the pressure America exerts. Osho responds with his typical humour and openly challenges his pursuers in public. Almost daily he is giving press conferences and his sannyasins from all over the world come to be and sit with him during his discourses in the evening. In January 1987, with the help of some friends of the Indian government, Osho can return to his commune and to his ashram in Pune, which was maintained and cared for during his absence.

osho8 Thousands of visitors pass the gate of the ashram daily. Osho gives discourses, sometimes both in the morning and evening with sometimes longer retreats inbetween. He reminds everybody that he cannot be physically present forever.

Despite the thallium toxicosis he suffered during his imprisonment in the U.S., which still affects his health severely, he keeps on celebrating with his sannyasins, develops the three-week meditation processes OSHO Mystic Rose" and "OSHO No Mind", founds the Multiversity,...

In April 1989, Osho establishes the "Inner Circle", a group of 21 people, who shall take care of the practical management of the Commune. He explains that his energy has totally changed and is ready to leave soon.

Osho leaves his body

Osho - never born, never died
Only visited this planet between
1931 and 1990

osho9osho10Osho leaves his body on 19 January 1990. Death, he says, is like a blossom that opens up and gives off its scent. The blossom fades away, but the scent spreads in all directions.

"When I die, everybody will celebrate, my friends and my foes. Through my death, they will be united."
